The pound to euro exchange rate remains muted today, with the pairing trading in the region of €1.115. Demand for both European currencies remains muted as a result of domestic data, central bank outlooks and geopolitical concerns. This morning data revealed that German consumer confidence slumped in July as income expectations among consumers darkened.
